Wow Grade 2s, this year has flown by! Can you believe it? Summer is here! I have a few challenges to keep you going over the summer! Feel free to join in for just one day…. or try it out all summer!!!
There are so many fun things you can do this summer. I will be checking in here and on twitter regularly! I am on holidays~so if I am hanging around the wadding pool it might take a bit to write back, but know that I am reading everything you send!
I am going to post all the fun things we do at home, as often as I can. This is my first time trying a summer challenge so we will see how it goes! I would love to hear back from you, even just a quick hello to know that you are reading, writing and thinking math this summer! Don’t forget that you won’t see your comments right away…remember to be digital citizens.
If writing is not on your mind, check out the summer reading challenge over at @mrsdevlinsclass and see what great books we have been reading at our house. Hit reply and tell me a good book to read to the boys.
Do you have math on the mind? Well here is the place to be! Check out your DreamBox account or XtraMath and impress me with everything you know! Forgot your passwords, send me a quick email and you will have them right away! firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a fantastic summer!

The calendar on our blog has been having some technical difficulties for a while. Our division is working hard to solve the problem. I have not been able to update or make changes to the calendar. I have removed it from the blog because it is no longer accurate. I will do my best to keep you posted on events through our daily TIGO messages. As soon as a new calendar becomes available I will create a new one to keep you up to date on the events in our classroom. Be sure to keep the calendar that comes home in the monthly newsletters! The next newsletter will be sent home on February 1st!
Thanks for all your support!

Today there were three notes in your child’s backpack. The November news update came home with a request to send information and photos of your child to help with Our Class Story! On the right side of the screen you can read the news. Today you will also find the form to request your conference time. Please send this in no later than November 23 because teachers will be scheduling over the noon hour. The final note is for special lunch orders, which have a very short time to return to the school. All orders need to be in by Wednesday morning. The school will accept money until Friday, if you need additional time to pay. Sorry about the short notice, there was a mix up in the office.
Please leave a message or phone the school if you have any questions!
